ABOUT
I am a senior Musical Theatre major at Ball State University! I grew up in Toledo, Ohio with two older brothers. This made me into the least girly girl out there, but at the same time the most feminine person. I spend half of my time in Doc Marten’s and the other half in 6-inch Heels. My friends appreciate my bold and versatile fashion sense, and my bank account appreciates that my closet is made up almost entirely of thrifted finds. I spend my free time at vintage shops or at home modifying recycled 80’s clothing I stole from my amazing mom. I also have an obsession with La Duca’s and also with my dog Chrystal. She is a 14 years old bichon king cavalier and she has literally become a more relevant member of my friend group than me.

Growing up, I was very involved in the dance community. I started ballet when I was three, simply because my mom thought it would be cute for a year or so, however much to her surprise… I never stopped! I will always consider dance a core part of my identity. I learned English National Ballet techniques at the Ballet Theatre of Toledo from second grade up until my junior year in high school. I added on more dance styles and classes every year all leading up to joining the Dance Expressions competition team where I learned jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary. I have choreographed many musicals ranging from casts made up of junior high students to casts of mostly adults. I have also served as a substitute ballet and jazz teacher at Dance Expressions and Spotlight Studio in Ohio for levels beginning-advanced. Growing up, I also had many experiences as the dance captain of shows, so I was able to learn a lot of leadership qualities from my awesome teachers and choreographers! This semester at school I performed in BSU’s dance show, Tribute, directed by Anne Beck. I am taking the highest level of Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre dance that we have at Ball State, and I am teacher assisting the lower level of musical theatre dance. Hopefully, this shows you how much I enjoy fitting in as many dance classes as I possibly can 🙂

I am a senior Musical Theatre major at Ball State University! I grew up in Toledo, Ohio (yes, one tiny conservative Midwest town to the next… no wonder I never stop talking about moving to a city). I have two older brothers that contributed to making me into the least girly girl out there, but at the same time the most feminine person. I spend half of my time in Doc Marten’s and the other half in 6-inch heels. My friends know me for my bold and versatile wardrobe made up mostly of thrift store finds. I love to spend my free time modifying recycled clothing, including things I dig out of my mom’s closet that she hasn’t seen in years. In addition to fashion, I also have an obsession with my bichon king cavalier, Chrystal. I got her when I was 7, and ever since I can remember she has been my best friend and brought a bright smile to my face every day.

In high school, I was on a competitive dance team and in the company at my ballet studio, so dance has always been a big priority
